Mike Isaac is a technology reporter for the New York Times based in San Francisco, where he covers Facebook, Uber and Twitter, among other companies.
Previously, Isaac was a senior editor reporting on social media companies for Re/Code and All Things Digital, and covered the decline and fall of once great technology giants like Hewlett-Packard and BlackBerry as a staff writer for WIRED. He began his career as a music journalist, writing for Paste Magazine, Forbes and Performer. Currently, Isaac is writing a book about ride-sharing service company Uber for publisher W. W. Norton that will be out in 2019.
Isaac attended the University of California, Berkeley and graduated with a degree in English Literature.
