Adam Richman is a popular self-educated food expert, trained chef, and author.
Since 1995 he has kept a travel journal including each of the restaurants he visited and what he learned from the trip. Although described as a bit on the husky side, to maintain his health while indulging for his show on The Travel Channel’s “Man v. Food” (which he began hosting in 2008), Adam exercises twice a day while he is on the road. When the schedule permits, he does not eat the day before a challenge and he tries to stay hydrated by drinking lots of water or club soda and forgoing coffee or soft drinks. Man v Food quickly became their highest rated show.
Adam also hosted and was co-executive producer of “Adam Richman’s Best Sandwich in America” and “Fandemonium”. In 2014 he hosted NBC’s new food competition show “Food Fighters,” which delivered the biggest regularly scheduled week-one to week-two gain in it’s demographic for any new series on the Big 4 networks in several years. The second season will premiere in 2015. His next show on Travel Channel, “Man Finds Food”, in which he stars and produces, will premiere April 1, 2015.
Adam is the author of “America the Edible” (2010), and “Straight-Up Tasty” (2015). He is a regular contributor for the Today Show, board member of the Armed Services Foundation and popular lecturer on the college circuit.
