Matt Ridley on lobbying in the House of Lords

Matt Ridley, columnist and author of the best selling The Rational Optimist, writes in the yesterdays Times on the difficult issue of lobbying in the House of Lords. Arguing that “..by definition a lobbyist is in [the] game of concentrating the gain and spreading the pain” he questions if there has been too much attention given to small interest groups at the expense of getting the best public good from a limited pot of taxpayers cash.

A fascinating glimpse behind the headlines for anyone following this latest scandal.
