Speakers at the 2013 Hay Festival

For 25 years Hay Festival has brought together writers from around the world to debate and share stories, with the aim to “celebrate great writing from poets and scientists, lyricists and comedians, novelists and environmentalists, and the power of great ideas to transform our way of thinking.”

This year’s speakers include; award-winning broadcaster and documentary-maker Jeremy Bowen discussing the Arab Uprising, commentator and broadcaster Nick Robinson analysing the fraught relationship between the media and politicians, and well-known journalist and news presenter Jon Snow chairing a conversation with Swedish politician and diplomat Hans Blix.
